PANAMA CITY The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is back and ready to provide free tax service for Panama City residents.
VITA will be operating out of the Glenwood Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday each week.
VITA worked out of A.D. Harris before Hurricane Michael in 2018, and then at Bill Cramer Chevrolet last year.
According to VITA site coordinator Carol Jones, the Glenwood Community Center is a great spot to help people file taxes. Not only is there space to socially distance, but the center is centrally located in Panama City.
Jones said it s important for people to get guidance when filling out their tax forms this year because of changes this year.
