Credit: Courtesy of Tamarack Author: KTVB Staff Updated: 8:34 PM MST December 25, 2020 TAMARACK, Idaho A collection of Kris Kringles spread some Christmas cheer on the slopes of Tamarack Resort Friday.  The ski resort offered free skiing to anyone who dressed up as Santa Claus on Christmas Day.  According to Tamarack, ninety-six Santas took them up on the offer - along with several Mrs. Clauses, a handful of elves, and a Grinch. Those who dressed up were asked to get to the ticket desk by noon Friday to claim their free day lift ticket. All Santas were then asked to meet up at the Tamarack Express lift for a Santa Run competition.

BOISE Skiers and snowboarders throughout Idaho have much to celebrate this holiday season, with 16 of 18 Gem State ski resorts either already open or opening before the New Year. All three resorts in North Idaho Lookout Pass Ski and Recreation Area near Mullan, Schweitzer Mountain Resort near Sandpoint, and Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg are open daily for the season. Lookout Pass, which straddles the Idaho-Montana border, is Idaho’s oldest ski area and is celebrating its 85th anniversary this season.
