CDIIC signs MoU with IAF

AAA The Codissia Defence Innovation and Atal Incubation Centre (CDIIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Air Force (IAF) at the Aero India 2021, held in Bengaluru recently.
The aim was to find solutions for repair and overhaul/indigenisation of parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies, aggregates, LRUs, etc for aircraft of the IAF and to provide mentoring to the startup companies incubated at CDIIC, according to a press release from the CDIIC.
The press release said that the CDIIC participated in various events at Aero India 2021, including the startup marathon 2021, organised by the Defence Innovation Organisation
Crown Group to develop aerospace cluster at Salem
February 04, 2021 The Crown Group, a technology provider, precision component manufacturer and a strategic partner in the defence sector, has signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) to develop an integrated aerospace cluster adjoining Salem Airport.
This will be a part of the Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor. The cluster will house the country’s first-ever indigenous MRO facility for military aircraft and equipment. The group will also establish a test bed for aerodrome ground technologies and UAV/RPAS drone testing facility.
Dave Jeyaselvan, President Crown Group, said “The Salem Aerospace Cluster is a step towards this goal of establishing an integrated facility under the indigenisation programme.”

CHENNAI: In a major economic push, the Tamil Nadu government on Monday signed 18 business deals with various private companies to bring investments worth a whopping Rs 19,995 crore to the State, and provide employment for 26,500 persons. The agreements were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, who also laid the foundation stone for five projects with a Rs 4,456-crore investment commitment providing jobs to 27,324 people.
