Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is bringing holiday cheer to the youth it serves and their families, during the COVID-19-impacted holiday season.
On the week of Thanksgiving, the club distributed 50 turkeys and fixings to club families in need. Potatoes, dressing, turkeys and other traditional fixings were purchased by the club and provided by the Redlands Unified School District food program and Inland Harvest.
With help from the community, the club has distributed more than 2,640 boxes of food to club membersâ families since March.
âWe believe every child deserves the chance to succeed beyond the circumstances that surround them, including the damage COVID-19 has done to their familiesâ stability,â said Kate Salvesen, club vice president of resource development.
