That, again due to causing delay in furnishing information to an applicant, Central Information Commission (CIC) passing strictures against a Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner Revenue denotes not only the quantum of seriousness accorded to the Right to Information but how much important it is to avoid such conditions which make room for such eventualities to take place. At least, the authorities of the level of Deputy Commissioner should normally never give room for the CIC passing strictures and thus even causing embarrassment to the Government as well for not arranging furnishing of information well in time. District Admin Srinagar to start Community Triaging for effective Covid-19 management

May 25, 2021 The Deputy Commissioner said Community Triag teams will help in the decentralisation and providing better supervision of Covid-19 management at zone-level. He said these teams will keep check on Covid-19 positive cases in their respective localities and examine the severity of cases for further advice by the experts of the team including a professional attempt to reduce the psychogenic load of disease on an infected individual. In addition, the Community Triaging Team will be provided a Target list in coordination with Covid-19 Control Room, DC observed. The Deputy Commissioner asked the CMO Srinagar to ensure that Community Triaging begins from May 12. He also shared a checklist of parameters regarding Community Triaging for its effective and prompt functioning. The CMO was further asked to share details of consultants with respective Community Triaging Teams to ensure timely treatment to the patients.

DC Srinagar constitutes Committee to prepare database of patients suffering from Terminal diseases

May 15, 2021 As per the order, the Chairman DDMA has said that the step has been taken in wake of surge in number of positive cases in Srinagar district and as the major focus has presently shifted to COVID-19 mitigation and management. “However proper health care of patients suffering from terminal diseases is to be accorded priority as well”, he added. The DDMA Chairman’s order also added that a mechanism was needed to be put in place so that medical condition of such patients may not deteriorate further. The order also stated that the DDMA Srinagar has taken the initiative to ensure that Cancer patients who are on Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy, Renal failure patients who are on dialysis, Cancer patients dated for surgery, Children who have schedule for immunization, besides Patients who underwent Emergency Orthopedic surgery for follow up, need to be taken care of and to make sure that timely access to treatment for such patients is guaranteed.
