The Don Harrington Discovery Center will be holding a job fair on Saturday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center, located at 1200 Streit Drive.
According to a news release, DHDC is inviting potential applicants to join their team of science loving individuals. They are looking for energetic, friendly faces to explore science with kids and families.
Multiple open positions include Summer Camp Teacher (seasonal), Summer Camp Aide (seasonal), Events Coordinator, Outreach Educator, Science Guide, and Education Team Member.

Staff will be on-hand at Saturday s job fair to answer questions about the positions, and interviews will be conducted on-site. Applicants are asked to bring a cover letter and resume.

City to add public art beautification structure to Rails to Trails
The city of Amarillo’s Rails to Trails project will soon be getting a new artistic addition with the help of the city’s Beautification and Public Arts Advisory Board.
The city is currently looking for individuals to complete a gabion public art installation at the northeast corner of Plains Boulevard and Western Street through RFQ 03-21. According to a news release from the city of Amarillo, a gabion is a fence-like structure which can be shaped in many different ways and can be filled with rocks, concrete, sand and soil for use in landscaping as well as other applications.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Amarilloâs newest film studio, Sharpened Iron Studios, recently completed filming their debut program Toolie Tech.
Toolie Tech is a faith-based childrenâs program that teaches kids how to use various tools.
âWe wanted to create a childrenâs program that had a faith element to it, but isnât a program where you sit your kids in front of the TV and your child is [just] vegged out. We wanted to teach them something.that with a little bit of faith and the right tool, nothingâs impossible,â said Chief Executive Officer of Sharpened Iron Studios, Sean Doherty.
