Gov Lamont receives his first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Bloomfield

News 12 Staff Updated on:Feb 16, 2021, 9:37pm EST Gov. Ned Lamont received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine today at a clinic in Bloomfield. The governor, who is 67, became eligible to receive the vaccine when the state expanded phase 1B of its vaccination program last week to include individuals between the ages of 65 and 74. The clinic is organized by Trinity Health of New England for members of the church’s congregation who are over the age of 65. Other participants slated to join the governor included Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Robinson, state Treasurer Shawn Wooden, state Rep. Bobby Gibson, and Dr. Reginald J. Eadie, president and CEO of Trinity Health of New England.
