One of my favorite verses in the entire Bible is Ephesians 2:10. My wife and I run the special needs ministry at our church and this verse is our theme verse. I especially love the way it reads in the New Living Translation.
I want to take a moment to break this verse down for you. There are some wonderful truths in here that when the light bulb goes off and you truly understand them, they can totally transform who you are and how you see yourself.
When I think of the word masterpiece, the first thought that comes to mind is a work of extreme excellence. When you look this word up, here is the definition.

There is much speculation as to who the 24 elders in Revelation are. As you can see, they are seated on thrones, dressed in white robes, wearing crowns. Whoever these elders are, one of the things you notice is that they are constantly entering into worship.

Because my name is Clarence when I meet people for the first time, they often remind me of the movie
It’s A Wonderful Life. In that movie there was an angel named Clarence and one of the classic lines from the movie was “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” This is one of those movies that warms the heart, especially during the holiday season. However, I want to turn your attention from Hollywood to the Scriptures so we can discover what does the Bible really tells us about angels.

Sometimes it’s easy to think that those who serve the body of Christ always have it all together. Unfortunately, too many in this position make it appear that way. I will tell you that is not true. We hurt, bleed, cry, and struggle just like everyone else. This leads me to my personal story and a greater understanding of Philippians 4:6

The essence of your Christian journey is getting to know who God is. This understanding of who God is sets the foundation for your Christian life. It is your perception of God and your perspective of who he is that will impact the way you engage him. It will literally set the parameters for how you interact and ultimately the type of relationship you develop with him.
This is so important that if you get this wrong, you can sabotage your walk with God. As much as God is holy, righteous, omnipotent, and omniscient I believe that the greatest aspect of Godâs character is that God is love.
