Share New Delhi: Union Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today informed that the UGC has placed the draft Regulations on Academic Collaboration between Indian and Foreign Higher Education Institutions to offer Joint Degree, Dual Degree and Twinning Programmes, in the public domain and invited suggestions from all the stakeholders. The Minister sought insights and feedback from the public including the academia and all other stakeholders to enable the Ministry of Education to bring about effective implementation of this aspect of NEP. The Minister also informed that the last date of receiving suggestions/feedback has now been extended to 15

Share New Delhi: Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today announced opening of two new Kendriya Vidyalayas, oneeach in the state of Karnataka and Punjab. KV Sadalaga, Belagavi, Karnataka and KV IIT Ropar, Punjab will be two new addition to the family of KendriyaVidyalayaSangathan. With this the total number of KVs across the Country will raise to 1247. Initially these two Vidyalayas will function with classes I to V and thereafter grow consequentially upto class XII. When these Vidyalayas start functioning in full capacity, around 1000 students of the area will be benefited in each school. The Admission process in both the Vidyalayas will start in the academic session 2021-22.

Union Education Minister addresses at the Unveiling of QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021

Smart India Hackathon- 2019 (Hardware Edition) Grand Finale at IIT Delhi

  New Delhi: The Grand Finale of 2nd part of the Smart India Hackathon-2019 (Hardware Edition) is being conducted from 8th to 12th July, 2019 at 18 nodal centres in 9 states, one Union Territory and one Capital Territory of India. The first part of Smart India Hackathon 2019, (Software Edition) was conducted on 2nd – 3rd March 2019. The Grand Finale of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) -2019 (Hardware Edition) was inaugurated by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ in New Delhi today. Union Education Minister releases the Study Material of Indian Knowledge Tradition Courses Programme

Share New Delhi: Union Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ released the study material of Bhartiya Jnana Parampara (Indian Knowledge Tradition) courses of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) in Noida today. The function was attended by the senior officials of the Ministry of Education, NIOS, Head of Departments and the Heads of various educational institutions. Speaking on the occasion Shri Pokhriyal said that NIOS is already making efforts to spread the Indian knowledge tradition in India and abroad. He informed Vedic studies, Sanskrit grammar, Indian philosophy, Sanskrit literature and Sanskrit language courses have been prepared for Secondary and Senior Secondary level by NIOS on the basis of “Indian knowledge tradition” and their study materials are available to learners in Sanskrit and Hindi language.
