The Mahant, who is the chairman of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, was discharged from the Medanta hospital in Lucknow on Wednesday and taken to Ayodhya in an ambulance for which a green corridor was set up. He had been admitted to the hospital on November 9 with multiple problems, including infections in lungs and kidneys. The Ayodhya district administration has now deputed nine government doctors to take round-the-clock care of the ailing seer.

Mahant Nritya Gopal Das was discharged from the Medanta hospital in Lucknow on Wednesday following satisfactory improvement in his health, around a month after he was admitted to the facility. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was shifted to Ayodhya in an ambulance for which a green corridor was set up.
