When Ellen DeGeneres announced last week that she was ending her long-running and award-winning daytime talk show, the rumor mill started churning with many pointing to the revelations and accusations of a toxic work environment at the show.
Ellen has done a lot of press in the last few days and remains insistent that the show ending has nothing to do with the bad press and accusations, telling the Today Show that if that were the case, she would not have come back for the 19th and final season.
According to People, Ellen wanted to end the show after 16 seasons but ended up signing for three more years, which is where we are. The article notes, We [settled] on three more years and I knew that would be my last. That s been the plan all along. And everybody kept saying, even when I signed, You know, that s going to be 19, don t you want to just go to 20? It s a good number. So is 19. Click

I go through this every single summer. The battle of Billy and the chemicals. Clearly, I should’ve paid more attention in science class but I’m awful at getting the balance between chorine and alkaline in my pool.
We’ve had a salt water pool for about 3 years and you’d think I’d have this figured out by now. Nope. I’m constantly adding a bag of salt, then acid, then backwashing to lower the levels…then adding more water and starting the cycle over again. I’ve come to the realization that the old adage is true…the best pool is someone else’s. Lol
