A Salesville man was recently ordered to serve the balance of a 24-month prison after violating the terms of community control sanctions imposed nearly three years ago in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court.
Matthew D. Gyles, 44, received 180 days credit for time previously served after initially being indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felonies.
Gyles was one of four people sentenced to various terms of incarceration last week during hearings in the common pleas court.
Gyles plead guilty to the trafficking offenses on Jan. 8, 2018, and was sentenced to 24 months in prison on March 3 of the same year. The prison sentence was suspended in favor of three years of community control sanctions.
