THREE people have been jailed for more than 28 years in relation to an operation led by West Yorkshire Police’s Programme Precision. The case began when drugs, two firearms, ammunition and a knife were seized by officers on Monday, May 18, 2020. Bradford Crown Court heard how two cars were stopped in the morning – with a pistol and ammunition found in a Skoda stopped on Cannon Street (Castleford) and a knife found in a Volkswagen that was stopped on Chantry Bridge, Wakefield.  A subsequent operation then took place at a house on Bradford Road, Morley where a handgun and ammunition were found, as well as illegal drugs.

By Press Association 2021 Cocaine haul Two drug couriers have been jailed after being caught bringing almost £6 million of cocaine into Scotland. The Crown Office said David Murdoch, 56, from Paisley in Renfrewshire, and Graham McCulloch, 39, from Airdrie in North Lanarkshire, admitted supplying drugs and possessing criminal property in connection with serious organised crime. On Thursday, Murdoch was sentenced to a total of 10 years at the High Court in Glasgow and McCulloch was jailed for 10 years. JAILED: Nuno Pestana A MAN who was part of a gang which fleeced thousands of pounds from elderly and vulnerable people across Worcestershire and beyond has been jailed. Nuno Pestana was jailed for six years when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court on January 19 after he was found guilty of scamming people across seven different counties. In total, Pestana and his colleagues stole more than £200,000 by pretending to be police officers investigating fraud at a local branch. Pestana, who is also known as Kevin Thomas, aged 41 years from London, played a leading role in arranging, transferring, receiving and dissipating funds through various bank accounts that had been obtained from vulnerable victims of the fraud.
