DUBAI, 14th March, 2021 (WAM) In line with its digital transformation drive, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has implemented the issuance of electronic pre-marital certificates.
Couples must undergo a pre-marital health examination to screen for certain genetic and infectious diseases. At the DHA, the screening is available across primary healthcare centres. After the screening, the DHA provides a pre-marital certificate electronically. The move has cut down processes from 12 to just three simple steps.
Now, the DHA has moved one step further by linking.
DHA links pre-marital screening with Dubai Courts
DUBAI, 19 days ago Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has signed an agreement with Dubai Courts facilitating electronic linking of pre-marital screening certificates and processes. It is mandatory for couples to undergo a pre-marital health examination to screen for certain genetic and infectious diseases. At DHA, the screening is available across primary healthcare centres. After the screening, DHA provides a pre-marital certificate electronically. The move has cut down processes from 12 to just three simple steps. Now, the DHA has moved one-step further by linking the electronic premarital certificate with Dubai Courts to provide customers with added convenience; reduce waiting time and enhance overall efficiencies.

No government entity will issue any paper documents from December 12 this year.
The Dubai Government is on track to become the first in the world to go completely paperless. No Dubai Government entity will issue any internal or external paper documents after December 12, 2021, running completely paperless transactions.
This came as Smart Dubai announced the latest updates on the progress of the Dubai Paperless Strategy.
The total decrease in paper consumption for all entities implementing the strategy was 82.82 per cent, saving 269.8 million sheets of paper. Overall, the strategy has helped save Dh1.13 billion, over 12.1 million hours of labour, and 32,388 trees that would have been cut down to produce paper.
