Officials said the site will officially open on Feb. 10 with a limited number of vaccinations. Once the location is fully up and running, a maximum of 7,000 doses will be able to be administered every day. South Florida will soon be getting a new mass vaccination site for COVID-19. Palm Beach County, partnership with the Health Care District and the Florida Department of Health, plan to open the fairground vaccination site on Wednesday of next week, which will be February 10th. Initially we will be able to do a limited number of vaccines at this site.
County Mayor Dave Kerner said they will eventually be able to vaccinate 7,000 people per day at the South Florida Fairgrounds near West Palm Beach, but need the supplies to increase first.
The site will include an air conditioned tent with 24 separate areas where the vaccine will be administered, along with kiosks to speed up the registration process.
