Hyderabad: This is the real face of the COVID-19 situation in the state, said senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao while slamming the Telangana Rashtra Samithi after the
death of seven COVID-19 patientsallegedly due to delay in medical oxygen supply at Hyderabad’s King Koti Hospital.
“This is the real condition of Telangana in terms of handling COVID-19 cases and amidst all this Prime Minister Narendra Modi is appreciating the work of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his management of the pandemic situation,” Rao said.

Cases and deaths under-reported in Telangana, says Gudur Narayana Reddy
Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday charged Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar with giving “false information” and “lying to the people” about the COVID-19 status in the capital and Telangana by under-reporting cases and deaths.
Senior leader Gudur Narayana Reddy said that claiming the “COVID situation was under control was blatantly false” and this was an effort to “sweep facts under the carpet”. Both the government and private hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID patients and beds are not available to them. Mr. Kumar does not seem to know the ground reality, he said

Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday demanded the TRS government and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao tell the people what action plan it has drawn up for tackling the current second wave of the pandemic even as number of deaths has been rising alarmingly by the day.
“Why is the CM totally silent about the raging COVID cases in the twin cities and in the districts? While the public and private healthcare personnel from doctors to nurses to anganwadi workers are working tirelessly providing treatment to scores of people thronging the hospitals, they are hamstrung by lack of personnel and infrastructure, including oxygen, Remidisvir and ventilators,” charged party president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken strong objection to Minister for Health Eatala Rajendra criticising the Centre for the second COVID wave surge and shortages and accused him of changing the tune only to please Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as his post was shaky.
Senior leader D.K. Aruna said the Minister had earlier hailed the Centre for providing sufficient oxygen to Telangana State and reverted to attack the Centre only to save his post. “Is Mr. Rajendra in control of the Health department at all? KCR is running the department directly with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and the Minister is not even invited for the review meetings. Similarly, the Director of Public Health and Director of Medical Education too don’t report to him,” she claimed, on Friday.
