【忽必烈傳】選英才 善納諫 崇尚節儉

人才乃是治世之本 忽必烈深知自己能夠一統天下，離不開身邊的謀士、賢臣，因此他充分意識到「用人」的重要性，明白「人才乃治之本」的道理。 早在藩邸時，忽必烈就效仿唐太宗，延攬了一批有才能之士，主要是儒生，來輔佐自己，比如赫赫有名的「金蓮川幕府」。他即大汗位後，亦多次下詔徵求人才，無論是聖賢之後、儒醫卜筮還是通曉天文曆數者和山林隱逸之士。心胸寬廣的忽必烈任人唯才，即只要有真才實學就可以，並不因民族和地域有所區分。在他所重用的人才中，有蒙古人、漢人、色目人、南人、西夏人、外國人等。 至於後人說忽必烈時期開始把人分為四等，推行民族歧視政策，是一種誤解。比如在忽必烈任用南人程鉅夫時，有大臣反對，理由是「鉅夫南人，且年少」，忽必烈回道：「汝未用南人，何以知南人不可用！自今
