It s National Teacher Appreciation Week this week and I m all about teachers. Just yesterday, I shared with you some of my experiences with teachers here in the Treasure Valley. It s true, educators for my entire life have been some of the most influential people. They have shaped me into the person that I am today by their example they ve given me the gift of critical thought and taught me HOW to think and not WHAT to think. For this and more, I am forever grateful.
So, how can you help out a teacher this week? It seems if there were a week to do so, this is the one! Without having a direct tie to a teacher, school, or classroom, you may not know where to start. The State of Idaho actually gives some pretty great incentives to those who give.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. It’s national Teacher Appreciation Week and we know teachers have had to go above and beyond to meet all the challenges over the last year since the pandemic began, so we’re honoring top teachers across Central Georgia every night this week.
Marvin James went down to Houston County to surprise two teachers who have “virtually” connected with their students in a deep way. Eagle Springs Elementary principal Andrea McGee set up a faculty meeting to gather all the teachers for the surprise.
Jill Biden will make her first visit to Utah as first lady Wednesday. She plans to deliver a speech at Glendale Middle School and then stop by a vaccination drive aimed at Hispanic residents.

Today is the beginning of National Teachers Appreciation Week, and nobody deserves more appreciation than Jessica Brown from Missouri. When Brown found out that Max, a student in her fifth grade class, was a Jeff Goldblum fan, she decided to incorporate the Pittsburgh celebrity into all of her lessons. Brown s class made Jeff Goldblum Christmas ornaments, paintings, wrote a script, and more, and Jeff Goldblum took notice! He thanked the students on Instagram. You can see it here:
