Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan on Saturday said Pakistanis can get vaccinated with full confidence with any of the available vaccines in Pakistan , after the country reported the detection of the South African and Brazilian coronavirus strains.

ISLAMABAD (APP): The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday directed to issue comprehensive guidelines for lockdown to be imposed during Eid holidays in order to contain virus disease spread.
The session was chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar and co-chaired by National Coordinator Lieutenant General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan also participated in the session whereas the provincial chief secretaries joined the conference via video link.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan on Tuesday said the government was increasing the country s oxygen production capacity in order to support the country s healthcare amid increasing Covid-19 cases.
While addressing a press conference, the SAPM said Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) oxygen plant would be re-activated to meet the country s oxygen demand.
ISLAMABAD: More than 40 million children under five years of age received vaccination during the second nationwide polio reduction campaign of the year.
The campaign was conducted from March 29 to April 2 in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and from April 11 to 15 in Balochistan.
During the campaign, more than 285,000 Sehat Tahafuz frontline workers visited families and caregivers going house-to-house and ensured vaccination of children against the crippling poliovirus.
“While we focus on vaccines for new diseases, such as Covid-19, there remains a need to ensure routine vaccinations are not missed. We know many children have missed vaccination and it is critical to accept vaccines every time they are offered by the teams,” Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan said.
