Ghor Provincial Council Member Killed in Clash with NDS Ezatullah Bik, a member of the provincial council in the western province of Ghor, was killed in clashes with the National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces on Thursday, the NDS said in a statement.  The clashes took place after the NDS forces attempted to arrest Bik who was a suspect in the killing of both Bismillah Adil Aimaq, a local journalist, and Abdul Rahman Atishan, the deputy provincial council of the province, the statement said.  “Instead of surrendering, Bik started fighting with NDS forces and was killed,” the statement said, adding: “An NDS officer was also killed during the clashes and another was wounded.”

AGO Sources Deny Having Qaisari Case Despite VP s Claim Afghan Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish on Wednesday said that the case of Nizamuddin Qaisari, the former police chief of Qaisar district in Faryab province, has been sent to the Attorney General of Afghanistan, but the Attorney General’s Office denies this.   Sources meanwhile have said that there are cases of rights violations against Qaisari at the National Directorate of Security (NDS).     Qaisari, who served as Qaisar’s local police commander in the northern province of Faryab, was once arrested along with 20 of his men by the Afghan Army’s 209 Shaheen Corps in November 2018. He is charged with violating human rights.
