An unknown gunman, on Wednesday, invaded the Seven-Day Adventist Church in Azia, Anambra State, while the mid-week service was ongoing and murdered three members of a family.
In addition to killing the husband, wife and daughter, he attacked a fourth person who sustained serious injury.
The names of those affected have been given as Kenneth Emekwasianya, 70, Grace Emekwasianya, 56, his wife, Chioma Emekwasianya, their daughter, 36, and Emeka Ntukokwu, 42, a secondary school teacher.
It was gathered that Kenneth was a businessman based in Azia, Grace, a headmistress at Ubom Community Primary School, Azia, while Chioma was a post-graduate student at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Anambra State.

Some Gunmen have killed one Kenneth Emekwasianya; his wife, Grace; their daughter, Chioma, and Emeka Ntukokwu, a secondary school teacher, in a Seven-Day Adventist Church in Azia, Anambra State.
According to an eyewitness report, a masked gunman came into the church on Wednesday, during the midweek service, rained bullets on the victims and thereafter took the keys of a Mercedes C Class car belonging to Kenneth.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has disclosed that the stepping down of 30MVA in Nsukka from the 132KV Makurdi Feeder, which his administration facilitated, to improve the quality of electricity supply in the area, is one of the state government’s greatest achievements.
The 30MVA Injection Sub-Station in Nsukka was the programme of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) but received maximum support from Mr Ugwuanyi’s administration which provided sundry assistance such as resolution of all legal issues concerning the project, bush clearing as well as dealing with other obstructions impeding the line’s passage, and construction of the outgoing feeders to supply power to end users.
