Rs1m grants awarded to 300 PhD fellows This 15-hour course was delivered as a goodwill gesture by an internationally recognized team of instructors ISLAMABAD: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) has awarded a grant of up to Rs 1million to 300 fellows of the Higher Education Commission s (HEC) Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs (IPFP) programme who applied for the Start-Up Research Grant Programme (SRGP). The 300 fellows are from different academic backgrounds ranging from social sciences to life sciences across all provinces in Pakistan. SRGP is designed to assist the fresh PhD holders who are IPFP fellows, to establish research facilities upon joining higher education institutions as faculty members.

Women varsity to establish Valence Centre - Newspaper

PESHAWAR: Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University in collaboration with partner organisations will establish “Valence Centre” to train its faculty members and students to connect with doctors through internet and launch an awareness programme for marketing initiatives. A press release issued here on Thursday said that the university signed two memoranda of understanding, including one with Sehat Kahani, an NGO, under which “Valence Center’ would be established. The signing ceremonies took place at a function held to observe International Women’s Day, it said. Another MoU was signed with ‘Demo and Tech Valley’ under which, 7000 women in seven divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be trained on digital skills.

E-office training for HEC employees

Islamabad March 6, 2021 Islamabad : The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) organised a hands-on training for e-office to top-up virtual training provided on the subject in conjunction with the National Information Technology Board (NITB). HEC staff was now able to benefit from a practical training with onsite instructors to answer questions and practically work through problems, respective employees were facing. Members from the Faculty Affairs Division were trained in the first round – other HEC divisions will receive similar top-up training in the weeks to come. Muhammad Raza Chohan, Director General, Faculty Affairs appreciated NAHE for conducted this training as well as Saif ur Rehman from NITB for conducting an interactive and effective session. E-office is an electronic system of office and operational management which will help make functions more efficient and improve accountability at HEC.
