An exhibition highlights the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts role in promoting Chinese operas, Cheng Yuezhu reports.
The National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a new exhibition at the National Museum of China in Beijing.
Upon entering the exhibition hall, visitors are transported on a seven-decade journey in which Chinese operas are highlighted. The history of the school itself is a record of New China s traditional-art education since its founding in 1949.

BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) A bowstring art festival was recently co-hosted in Beijing by the National Museum of China and the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, showcasing the country s rich history and remarkable achievements in bow instrument culture.
The art festival, scheduled to last until Dec. 21, consists of a number of events including four concerts, lectures, and a special exhibition featuring collections of renowned huqins, a group of Chinese fiddles.
The art festival is the first time the two institutions have collaborated in hosting such cultural events. It aims to create new channels for Chinese bow instrument culture to develop in contemporary times. Enditem
