Chandigarh: In the last 3 years, Chandigarh saw the second most drug seizures among all the union territories (UTs), as per a report of the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB). The maximum cases of drug peddling among the UTs were registered in the national capital.

Due to distress over debts, three farmers in Madhya Pradesh have allegedly committed suicide, taking the number of suicides in the state to 15 since June 8. In Sehore alone, the home district of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, five suicides have been reported.
