On Monday, Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, and her husband Principal Radu visited the Private Hospital of “Regina Maria” in Cluj-Napoca Municipality.
The royal couple were welcomed by the hospital manager and other members of the health institution’s management. Following the warm welcome, the royals received a tour of the hospital’s gynaecology department and surgery department. The royals spoke to doctors and medical staff and appreciated the high level of endurance and comfort available at one of the region’s best-performing hospitals.
The Custodian of the Crown of Romania has actively worked to improve the Romanian health care system since her return to Romania in 1990. Her charity has devoted much time and money to improving the knowledge and treatment that Romanians receive after decades of decay due to communism.
