The aviation sector still has a long way to recover following the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic which disrupted the industry from March last year.
Regional airline, Bluebird Aviation on Tuesday projected the sector could start picking up towards the last half of the year 2021.
BlueBird Aviation General Manager, Captain Hussein Mohammed said while the pandemic has caused a total disruption in the aviation industry like in the overall economy, there is a ray of hope for the aviation sector with the planned rollout of COVID-19 Vaccines.
He said flight capacity has remained less than 50 per cent for all airlines across, local, regional and international markets since the outbreak of coronavirus.

KATA launch report on readiness to travel post COVID-19 in Kenya
Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) has unveiled the findings of
Travellers’ Readiness to Travel Post Covid-19 Survey, conducted between August 2020 and October 2020. The survey was commissioned by the National Tourism Crisis Steering Committee, and compiles travelers responses data from over 200 KATA certified travel agents in Kenya.
The survey sought to gather insights on the travel habits of travelers, and how travel has been impacted by COVID-19. Moreover, setting realistic expectations of the trend in the near future, even as they try to promote local travel in the region.
