There is good news for fixed income investors as the government has decided to keep the interest rates on small savings schemes or post office schemes, unchanged for the quarter ending March 31, 2021. This is the third quarter in a row that the government has kept interest rates on various small savings schemes such as Public Provident Fund (PPF), National Savings Certificates (NSC), Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) and others unchanged.
