2023 Presidency: Southwest speakers, top ex-lawmakers unite for Senator Tinubu

Current and former Speakers of various legislative houses in the south-western part of Nigeria have agreed to unite in support of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2023 presidency.
The meeting, which was organised by the BAT Foundation, held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state, late Wednesday with the participants concluding that they all need to collectively project Tinubu ahead of 2023.
Those in attendance at the meeting include: Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa of Lagos, his colleague in Ogun, Olawale Oluomo.
Others Speakers and former Speakers present at the meeting also include: former Speaker Adeyemi Ikuforiji (Lagos), Rt. Hon. Suraju Adekunbi (Ogun), Rt. Hon. Muyiwa Oladipo (Ogun), Rt. Hon. Asimiyu Alarape (Oyo), Rt. Hon. Prof Mojeed Alabi (Osun), Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan (Ondo), Rt. Hon. Kenneth Olawale (Ondo), and Rt. Hon. Kola Ade

Tinubu commiserates with chairman of Premier Lotto over wife’s death

Senator Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has commiserated with the Chairman of Premier Lotto, Chief Kessington Adebutu, over the death of one of his wives, Rosemary.
Mrs Adebutu died on Saturday (Jan. 9) in Lagos during a brief illness.
In a condolence message to the billionaire lotto magnate, Tinubu prayed God to grant Chief Adebutu and other members of his family the strength to bear the loss.
The message was signed by Tinubu’s media aide, Mr Tunde Rahman.

The Yoruba Summit Group (YSG) and Chief Executive Officer of Ovation Media Group, Chief Dele Momodu, have intervened in the dispute between a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and the Senior Pastor of the Citadel Global Community, Lagos State, Tunde Bakare.
The YSG Spokesperson, Gboyega Adejumo, and Momodu on Wednesday reportedly held a meeting with the two parties where a truce was reached.
Fani-Kayode confirmed the peace meeting on Wednesday, noting that his “respect for Pastor Bakare remains high.”
