ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) that is to meet today (Wednesday) with Finance Minister Shuakat Tarin will consider the summary of Power Division seeking approval for arrangement of additional power from NTDC (National Transmission Dispatch Company) to K-Electric.
According to the copy of the summary, the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE) approved additional supply of 1,300 MW from national grid to K-Electric on 19th June, 2020.
The CCoE on 27th August 2020 further reviewed different aspects of additional supply of 1,300 MW to K-Electric and took decisions that include KE, CPPA and NTDC will initial the tripartite Power Purchase Agreement for additional power supply of 350-450 MW within one-week time period, while keeping the financial settlement clauses in square brackets with CPPA s proposed-language and Finance Division and Power Division will expedite action for finalization of ‘clauses related to financial settlement and submissi

MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2021 ): A 660 KV HVDC Matiari-Lahore Transmission Project is CPEC Project which has been envisioned to evacuate power from power plants in South of the country , State-run National Transmission Dispatch Company officially announced on Wednesday. It has a designed capacity of 4000 MW and is being built on BOOT basis , the NTDC said in an official statement released to the media Wednesday evening.

ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) on Friday granted a provincial grid licence to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transmission & Grid System Company (Private) Limited (KPT&GSC).
The licence empowers the KPT&GSC – a subsidiary of the provincial government – to act as a provincial grid company under Section-18A of the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power Act, 1997.
KP is the second province after Sindh to have secured a provincial transmission or grid company. The KPT&GSC licence “will facilitate in connecting the under construction as well as future proposed hydropower projects to the designated load centers, not only in the province, but will also help in transporting cheap electricity to national grid thus paving the way

Islamabad [Pakistan], February 11 (ANI): In a shock to Pakistan, Chinese company Pak Matiari- Lahore Transmission Company (PMLTC), which completed the Matiari-Lahore HVDC Transmission Project with the investment of USD 2.2 billion in two years time, has threatened to take the government-owned company National Transmission Dispatch Company (NTDC) to the international arbitration court.
According to a report by The News International, the Chinese company PMLTC, which completed +-660kV Matiari-Lahore HVDC Transmission Project with the investment of USD 2.2 billion in two years time, has threatened to move the international arbitration court against the NTDC for creating hurdles in the commissioning of the project.
