Making the call to lift restrictions not easy in Singapore s transition phase

Bogotá registró en las últimas horas la cifra más alta de personas fallecidas en 15 meses de pandemia y durante este tercer pico. En los últimos cuatro días, la capital tuvo 653 fallecimientos producto de COVID-19; solo el martes, el Instituto Nacional de Salud reportó 178 decesos.
Este panorama, que con el paso de los días tiende a agravarse, tiene al sistema de salud sumido en la peor crisis de su historia.
“Todos los servicios de urgencias en sobre ocupación, algunos superior al 300%, no tenemos medicamentos, no tenemos insumos, tenemos que cambiar la fórmula, tenemos que conversar con el Gobierno nacional, hay que triplicar el rastreo, hay que triplicar las muestras que se están haciendo, aumentar el seguimiento. De seguir como seguimos ningún sistema va a dar abasto y vamos a seguir en este colapso, necesitamos tomar medidas rápidas y eficientes para salir de esta situación”, señaló el doctor Javier Moreno, cardiólogo de Alianza por la Salud y la Vida.
