No further deaths of Covid-19 patients have been reported by the National Public Health Emergency Team on Monday. This leaves at 4,921 the total number of deaths in the pandemic.
The team also reported 381 confirmed cases of the disease, bringing to 253,189 the total number of cases in the Republic.
Of the new cases, 188 were in Dublin, 39 in Donegal, 30 in Kildare, 13 in Limerick, 13 in Cork, 13 in Tipperary and 13 in Westmeath, with the remaining 72 spread across 15 other counties.

A further 453 confirmed Covid-19 cases have been reported in the State, taking the total since the pandemic began beyond 250,000.
No additional coronavirus-related deaths were reported by the National Public Health Emergency Team on Monday. A total of 4,906 deaths and 250,290 cases have been recorded in the State during the pandemic.
Just over 700,000 Covid-19 vaccines were administered in April, substantially less than the hoped for target of 860,000, HSE figures show.
HSE chief executive Paul Reid said earlier that there was “great momentum” on the vaccination programme, tweeting that almost 200,000 thousand vaccinations had been done last week and “over 788,000 done through April”.

One more coronavirus-related death and 402 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the State.
Overall, the number of confirmed cases reported in the Republic since the start of the pandemic is now just short of 250,000, according to figures released by the National Public Health Emergency Team on Sunday. A total of 4,906 deaths have been reported.
Nphet said that 79 per cent of the cases notified on Sunday were in people under 45 years of age. The median age was 31.5 years old.
