Sixty-one medical workers and staff at Gia Lai Province’s Field Hospital and 39 others in the province’s General Hospital are expected to get vaccinated on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Vietnam begins COVID-19 vaccination on March 8
Vietnam launches its COVID-19 inoculation drive on March 8 morning, administering the AstraZeneca vaccine to medical workers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and northern Hai Duong province – the country’s biggest pandemic hotspot at present.
The vaccination is conducted at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, the HCM City Hospital for Tropical Diseases and two medical centres in Hai Duong.
As many as 100 staff members of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases are expected to receive the shots in the morning of March 8. The hospital is allocated 450 doses among the first batch of 117,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine the country has received.

Medical and other frontline workers in Hanoi, HCMC and Hai Duong got the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine on Monday morning.
At 6:15 a.m. the Vietnam Vaccine JSC sent the vaccines to the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases where 900 medical workers are to be given shots.
At the same time in Hanoi, specialized vehicles transported the vaccines to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
Dr Vu Minh Dien, deputy director of the hospital’s center for pandemic prevention and vaccination, said 420 medical personnel would be immunized in the first phase.

Vietnam started providing COVID-19 vaccinations to health workers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and northern Hai Duong Province on Monday morning.
A
decision signed by Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong on Saturday showed that the 117,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses that Vietnam currently has would be distributed to 13 provinces and cities, 21 hospitals and medical centers, as well as the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of National Defense.
The process began on Monday morning at four locations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Duong Province.
