Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long on January 28 asked relevant units to establish three COVID-19 treatment hospitals in Hai Duong province, where 73 community infection cases were confirmed over the past two days.
At the meeting
At a virtual meeting with the health departments of and a number of hospitals in Hai Duong and Quang Ninh provinces, Long requested an oversupply of medical equipment for the three hospitals to serve the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Authorities in Cau Giay District, Hanoi have cordoned off and fumigated a small alley on Nguyen Khanh Toan Street after a new case of COVID-19 infection was identified in the neighborhood.
The alley was officially sealed late Thursday night, according to Trinh Thi Dung, deputy chairman of Cau Giay District People’s Committee.
As per an earlier report from the Hanoi Department of Health, L.A.T., a 20-year-old from the northern province of Hai Duong, who currently lives in a dorm on Nguyen Khanh Toan, tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday at Bach Mai Hospital after experiencing a cough, fever, and sore throat a day before.
All schools from kindergarten to university-level institutions in Quảng Ninh Province in northern Việt Nam have been told to close today until at least the end of the week after a COVID-19 community case was detected.
