Bihar has a long history of organized education. Once upon a time, Bihar was a leading place in terms of higher education. Nalanda and Vikramshila University was the two most important centres for learning in India. Nalanda University being the focal point handled all branches including (Art, Architecture, Painting, Logic, Grammar, Philosophy, Astronomy, Literature, Buddhism, Hinduism, Arthashastra (Economics & Politics), Law, and Medicine, Arithmetic, Theology, Law, Metaphysics, Ethics) and housed up to 10,000 students at its peak.
Students from China, Korea, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia and from all the regions of India came to Nalanda and Vikramshila uinversities to study.

Despite being one of the world s most charismatic species, tigers face uncertain futures primarily due to habitat fragmentation, human-wildlife conflict and poaching. As global tiger populations decline, so does their genetic diversity. But until now it s been unclear how the animals dwindling numbers are affecting them at the genetic level.
To find out, researchers at Stanford University, the National Centre for Biological Sciences, India, and various zoological parks and NGOs sequenced 65 genomes from four of the surviving tiger subspecies. Their findings confirmed that strong genetic differences exist between different tiger subspecies but showed, surprisingly, that these differences emerged relatively recently, as Earth underwent a major climatic shift and our own species grew increasingly dominant.

No Deaths Due to UK Covid-19 Variant Reported in India, Say Health Ministry Sources

As many as 178 people in India have tested positive for coronavirus variant that emerged in the United Kingdom last year, but not a single death has been attributed to the UK mutation so far. At present, the country doesn t have any cases of the Brazilian or South African variants. If and when in genome sequencing we are able to detect one of these variants, we will start tracking them. And, as far as the 178 cases of the UK mutant are concerned, there have been no deaths, a source at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare told News18.
