His costume adorns one of the displays at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, UK. His identity is still unknown because he’s got a tendency to get reinvented every time British racing drivers like McCarthy and Collins think it’s time to move on. On our part, all we know is he’s gotten a bit wet during the latest Stig Drifts challenge. 26 photos
Although we’re mainly used to seeing The Stig post lap times around Top Gear’s circuit or talk (off-camera) to celebrity guests for the (usually) entertaining “
Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” segment, as of late last year, the mysterious presenter has also branched out into. drifting.
It wouldn t be an Adelaide road-trip roundup without featuring the Barossa Valley.
Although very popular with tourists and famous for producing some of Australia s best vino, the drive to the wine capital also showcases some of South Australia’s most gorgeous scenery.
We recommend an hour s drive northeast of the CBD to Tanunda, through meandering country roads and the villages of Balhannah, Woodside and Birdwood, taking in the orchards, market gardens and stone cottages, before crossing into the Barossa.
On your way, make the time to visit Woodside Cheese Wrights, owned by one of Australia s most talented cheesemakers – and take some with you to keep your wine company on the drive home.
