The steamy weather Minnesota has had for the past week has set more records.
As of noon on Wednesday, the Twin Cities marked its seventh consecutive day with a high of 90 degrees or higher.
With that, the metro has broken the record for the longest 90-degree day streak this early in the season, the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says. NWS Twin Cities also notes five of the last six days have seen record warm lows at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport, with low temps the past week hovering around the average high temperature for this time of year (77 degrees).

According to the record books, the National Weather Service’s Twin Cities and Eau Claire, Wisconsin recording sites broke their records Tuesday. The Twin Cities hit 63 at 3:15 Tuesday afternoon, breaking the old record of 61 set in 1878 and tied in 1879. Eau Claire smashed its old record of 58 after hitting 67 Tuesday afternoon. The old record was set in 1902.
Things will be very different today, however.
