Paytech of Canada is is hoping to kickstart a conversation with the government about the modernization of the current payment system, as well as consumer privacy protections within the financial sector and end-user funds under the Retail Payments Oversight Framework.

Six swimmers provisionally nominated to represent Team Canada at Tokyo 2020 01/23/21
On Friday, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Swimming Canada provisionally nominated six athletes to represent Team Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games from July 23 to August 8.
As the world continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, Swimming Canada has invoked the unexpected circumstances clause of its Olympic team nomination criteria, and is postponing the Olympic and Paralympic Swimming Trials until late May. Swimming Canada will also plan a supplementary Olympic qualifying opportunity in June.
The clause allows the Swimming Canada Selection Committee to determine if unexpected or unusual circumstances have arisen during the process of applying these Criteria and have the full and absolute discretion to resolve the matter as it sees fit, taking into account factors and circumstances that it deems relevant. NZOC preparing team for vastly different Olympic Games 01/22/21
With Saturday January 23rd marking six months to the postponed Tokyo Olympic Games, the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) is ramping up its preparations for a vastly different Olympic Games.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Tokyo Organising Committee have reiterated their commitment to the Games taking place in Tokyo from July 23rd to August 8th, 2021.
NZOC CEO Kereyn Smith says the global situation is incredibly challenging and the New Zealand Team is preparing to work within strict countermeasures on which the Games will be based.
“The Olympic Games will be a vastly different event from what we re used to,” said Smith.
