A Member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and Coordinator for the South-South zone of the body, Mr. Emmanuel Ibah, is dead, the NFF has reported.
The 61-year-old Ibah, who was also Chairman of the Akwa Ibom Football Association, died on Tuesday morning after he succumbed to COVID-19 complications owing to underlying issues of diabetes and hypertension.
The football body further reports that Ibah showed intense dedication and commitment to the work of the NFF and Nigeria Football in general as he was always at the frontline of preparations for matches of the Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles, any time were to play in the Akwa Ibom State capital, Uyo.

A member of the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and Coordinator for the South-South zone of the body, Mr. Emmanuel Ibah, is dead.
He died of coronavirus-related complications at the age of 61, according to a statement from the Nigeria Football Federation on Tuesday.
“Family sources confirmed to the NFF that Ibah, who was also Chairman of the Akwa Ibom Football Association, gave up the ghost on Tuesday morning after succumbing to complications from the new coronavirus pandemic. He was said to have underlying diabetic and hypertensive medical conditions.

Interim CAF President to oversee General Assembly in Egypt Thursday, 10 December 2020
Interim Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Constant Omari will oversee the organisation s latest General Assembly tomorrow, which will include updates on next year s elective Congress and upcoming tournaments.
Omari was placed in temporary charge last month following CAF President Ahmad receiving a five-year ban from the FIFA Ethics Committee.
Ahmad has been accused of ethics breaches, including the mismanagement of funds during his turbulent four-year term at the helm of CAF.
The Madagascan official has vowed to appeal the sanction at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and has claimed the FIFA Ethics Committee expedited his ban to prevent him from being re-elected President of the African body.
