Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty rose 143.65 points, or 1 percent, to 14,485. Axis Bank topped the Sensex pack by over 4 per cent, topping ICICI Bank, UltraTech Cement, HUL, SBI, PowerGrid, Bajaj Auto and Reliance Industries. On the other hand, HCL Tech, HDFC Bank, Maruti, Sun Pharma and TCS lagged behind. “Domestic equities have reduced the number of rising COVID-19 cases and have led to a faster recovery in financials,” said Reliance Securities Head Strategy Binod Modi.
