To commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Kolkata to be a part of the celebrations. This day will be celebrated as Parakram Diwas all over India.
This was confirmed by the Prime Minister s Office (PMO). The PM will also visit Jerenga Pathar in Sivasagar, Assam to distribute 1.06 lakh land pattas/allotment certificates, the PMO said. The state unit of the BJP had earlier requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address a public meeting in Kolkata on January 23.

Kolkata, Jan 21 : At a time when the Centre has constituted a high-level committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, a section of Bose s family and researchers are unhappy with the inclusion of Anita Bose Pfaff in the panel. Anita Pfaff is not an acceptable member in the birth celebrations committee. Her birth certificate does not mention Subhas Chandra Bose as father at all, Rajyashree Chaudhuri, Netaji s great grand niece, told IANS.

Indian Railways is happy to announce the naming of 12311/12312 Howrah-Kalka Express as Netaji Express , said the Ministry of Railways.

Just three days to the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the Indian Railways on Wednesday renamed of one its oldest trains, the Howrah-Kalka Mail as Netaji Express . Railway Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted, Netaji s prakram (valour) put India on the express route of freedom and development. I am thrilled to celebrate his birth anniversary with the introduction of Netaji Express .
