SC seeks response from Centre, states on Twitter India s plea against multiple FIRs ANI | Updated: Dec 19, 2020 13:39 IST New Delhi [India], December 19 (ANI): The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Centre and several states on a petition filed by Twitter Communications India Pvt Ltd urging it to quash multiple FIRs registered against it for allegedly promoting a tweet on Khalistan . A bench headed by Chief Justice of India S A Bobde had on December 17 sought responses from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, governments of Karnataka, Assam, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha and the Police Commissioner of Delhi.

63 trainees pass out from North Eastern Police Academy Umsaw Khwan (Meghalaya), Dec 19 (UNI) All together 63 trainees from various North Eastern States states passed out as officers after completing the 47th Basic Course from the North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) at Umiam, Ri-Bhoi district on Saturday. NEPA Director, Deepak Kumar reviewed the Passing Out Parade of 47th Batch Basic Course trainees. The course comprised one Deputy Superintendent of Police from Nagaland, 39 Sub Inspectors, 16 from Meghalaya, 15 from Nagaland, three from Nagaland Home Guards and Civil Defence, two from Manipur, two from Mizoram, one from Tripura and 23 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 21 from Nagaland and two from Manipur.
