Panaji (Goa) [India], February 7 (ANI): Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday said that Goa has the potential to become the fisheries hub of the country and held a discussion with Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and State Fisheries Minister Filipe Rodrigues about a holistic investment of Rs 400 crore for the fisheries sector in Goa. Goa has the potential to become the fisheries hub of the country. I have discussed with Goa CM and Fisheries Minister of the state about a holistic investment of Rs 400 crore for the fisheries sector in the state. Out of this, Rs 41.47 crore has been approved already, said Singh while addressing a press conference.

Chandigarh, Jan 2 : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said it has extended legal assistance to the farmers, who want to move courts against BJP leaders for their defamatory remarks against them.
AAP Punjab co-incharge Raghav Chadha, who was on a two-day tour of the state, said some farmers had decided to seek justice after verbal abuse by the BJP leaders.
With the help of AAP, notices were issued to Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and BJP s National General Secretary Ram Madhav, he said.

New Delhi [India], January 2 (ANI): Punjab-based farmers have sent legal notices to Union Minister Giriraj Singh, Gujarat Deputy CM Nitin Patel and BJP leader Ram Madhav for their alleged defamatory/ derogatory statement regarding ongoing agitation at various Delhi borders against the agriculture laws.
Farmers have sent the notices seeking an unconditional apology and unambiguous withdrawal of the alleged defamatory and derogatory statements made by the three leaders.
Statements by several political leaders have not issued in good faith or with responsibility, but mala fide intent and for oblique motives to further vested interests and defame the protesting farmers, read the notice.
