NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme (Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT) to extend its benefits to all the residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir on Saturday (December 26, 2020) at 12 noon via video conferencing.  “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Ayushman Bharat ‘PM-JAY SEHAT’ to extend coverage to all the residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir on 26th December, via video conferencing,” the PMO statement said.

J&K DDC Elections Updated: Dec 16, 2020, 08:56 PM IST The seventh phase of voting for District Development Council (DDC) elections concluded peacefully across the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir. Despite cold weather conditions and sub-zero temperatures, people came out in huge numbers to cast their votes. A record 3.93 lakh electors out of the total 6.87 lakh cast their vote which turned out to be 57.22 per cent. The highest number of polling (71.93%) was witnessed in the Jammu division with Poonch recording 80.12 per cent voter turn out - highest in the region.
