Bangladesh high commissioner among 24 envoys visits Kashmir Gautam Lahiri 21st February, 2021 01:20:52 New Delhi: A group of 24 foreign diplomats including Mohammad Imran, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, witnessed the strengthening of grass-roots democracy in Kashmir during a two-day official visit. The group represents various geographical regions and countries including Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Côte d Ivoire, Cuba, Estonia, Finland, European Union, Eritrea, France, Ghana, Italy, Ireland, Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Malawi, Netherlands, Portugal, Senegal, Spain, Sweden and Tajikistan. The diplomats were also informed about investment opportunities in Kashmir, Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said in a briefing on Saturday.

Panels Set Up For Implementation Of Schemes For J&K S Industrial Dev

(MENAFN - Kashmir Observer) New Delhi: Three committees, including an apex panel, have been constituted by the government for governance and implementation of a central sector scheme for the industrial development of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, according to a commerce and industry ministry notification. The three-member apex committee will be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Lt. Governor of UT of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha are the members. This apex committee will decide upon any modification in the scheme within its overall financial outlay which have not been specifically delegated under the power and function of other committees, the department for promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT) s notification said.
