Govt Amends Warrant Of Precedence, Places DDC Chairpersons Equivalent To Mayors
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday amended its warrant of precedence, placing the chairpersons of district development council equivalent to that of mayors within their respective territorial jurisdictions.
In an order, a copy of which lie with the news agency KNO the government placed the DDC chairpersons equivalent to mayors at serial number 19A in the amended warrant of precedence.
“In supersession of all previous orders issued on the subject, it is hereby ordered that the Warrant of Precedence forming Annexure to this Government Order shall be observed at all ceremonial functions/occasions of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” the order states.

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 6 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday issued a fresh official protocol list putting the DDC chairpersons as equivalent to mayors at serial number 19A in the amended warrant of precedence.
The Warrant of Precedence in respect of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for ceremonial functions issued by the Hospitality and Protocol Department of the UT gave the DDC Member a status equivalent to that of an Army brigadier and the District Magistrate. The mayors of Jammu and Srinagar municipal corporations along with DDC chairpersons within their respective territorial jurisdictions were put at serial number 19A in the new warrant of precedence list, the order said.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) has notified the the extension of the Common Entrance Test (JKCET 2021) on its official website. Earlier, the registration was scheduled to conclude today. i.e., April 6.
According to the official notification, interested and eligible candidates can now register online till April 16, 2021, at jkbopee.gov.in.
“In view of the poor response to above referred Notification for submission of online Application Forms for Common Entrance Test (CET) for Engineering Courses-2021, the Board has decided to extend the last date for submission of online Application Forms for the said Courses from 06-04-2021 to 16-04-2021(mid-night),” read the notification.
SRINAGAR: The Government on Tuesday informed that 561 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19),177 from the Jammu division and 384 from the Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 134015. Also, 02 COVID-19 deaths have been reported from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 230 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 52 from Jammu Division and 178 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 134015 positive cases, 4483 are Active Positive, 127520 have recovered and 2012have died; 741 in Jammu division and 1271 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 6286013test results available, 6151998 samples have been tested as negative till April 6, 2021.
