Phase III of the National Super Computing Mission (NSM), initiated this year, will take the computing speed available in the country to around 45 Petaflops. This will include three systems of 3 PF each and one system of 20PF as a national facility.
Infrastructure planned in NSM Phase I has already been installed and much of Phase II will be getting in place soon, helping to meet the increasing computational demands of academia, researchers, MSMEs, and startups in areas like oil exploration, flood prediction as well as genomics and drug discovery.
Computing infrastructure has already been installed in four premier institutions and installation work is in rapid progress in 9 more. Completion in of Phase II of NSM in September 2021 will take the country’s computing power to 16 Petaflops (PF). RBI keeps poliy repo rate unchanged at 4%

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to keep its key interest rates unchanged in view of the current and emerging situations. The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at its meeting today decided to keep the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) unchanged at 4.0 per cent.
Consequently, the reverse repo rate under the LAF remains unchanged at 3.35 per cent and the marginal standing facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate at 4.25 per cent.
The MPC also decided to continue with the accommodative stance as long as necessary to sustain growth on a durable basis and continue to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 on the economy, while ensuring that inflation remains within the target going forward.

Moscow, Apr 12 (Prensa Latina) Russia looks to the past, but it is also concentrating on the future and is on the verge of major changes in the space industry, Roscosmos CEO Dmitri Rogozin said today.
In his congratulations on the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight to cosmos, starring Yuri Gagarin, the head of Russia s Space Agency stressed that the country hopes to transit to a new space and rocket technology.
He expanded that among Roscosmos s plans is the beginning of lunar research, first by automatic stations, then by crews of cosmonauts, according to the TASS news agency.

Australian comedian Lewis Spears was halfway through a joke ridiculing Prince Philip, when an audience member yelled out that he had died tonight .
Spears, 27, couldn t believe his ears when the audience member brought the news to his attention. Oh, can you believe that the royals are bad people? Yes! They live in castles. Of course they re not very nice. Have you guys not seen Shrek? he began.
