–Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, California, has been named to the California Health and Human Services Agency (CHHS) and Cal Hospital Compare Maternity Honor Roll for excellence in maternity care and, in particular, its low rates of cesarean section births (C-sections). Childbirth is the number one reason for hospitalization in California (and the United States). For mothers, overuse of cesarean sections (C-sections) can result in higher rates of complications like hemorrhage, transfusions, infection, and blood clots. The surgery also can bring risks for babies, including higher rates of infection, respiratory complications, neonatal intensive care unit stays, and lower breastfeeding rates.

Grade: Class of 2022 Coach’s comment: Alex Dahlen is our player of the week. Alex led the offensive attack for the Eagles in their loss to AG on Saturday at home. She went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s. Alex has been a strong force offensively for the team this season and is directing the outfield from her position in center field.  Alex is a great natural athlete and uses her ability to add consistency to the team offensively and defensively.
