(Wyoming News Now) - Northstar Pharmacy and Infusion held a one-day vaccine clinic at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They partnered with Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, City County Public Health, American Medical Response, the fire department, student nurses and pharmacists from the University of Wyoming and had more than 80 volunteers. Amy Schmidt, owner of Northstar, said that they only had one week to put this massive event together. “(It’s) All hands on deck, I think we have over 80 volunteers helping us today,” Amy said.

It was the first appointment only mini clinic hosted by the American Bank Center. Public Health Director Annette Rodriguez said there was a glitch with the registration process yesterday. Even though there were 500 spots open, roughly 2,000 more people were overbooked. But there was some good news despite the glitch. Rodriguez said the people who were overbooked on Monday, are now a priority for the very next clinic hosted by the Health District. Those who were part of the overbooked crowed will get a reverse alert invitation.
