The graffiti messages scrawled around Miami in March, on the eve of Passover and Holocaust Remembrance Day, were shocking: “The Jews are the Problem,” “Zionism is Satanism.”
Most ominously in this city filled with Cubans and other Latin Americans who fled communist governments, was this one: “Communism is Judaism.”
The phrase echoed a trend towards antisemitism in Miami’s right-wing Hispanic political circles that have come to dominate this bellwether city.
In 2018 Miami-based Radio Television Marti, the federally funded broadcaster of anti-Communist messaging to Cuba, ran a report blaming Soros for orchestrating the 2008 financial collapse, and supporting narco-terrorism and Cuban schemes. Multiple staffers were fired when the report was exposed and denounced as antisemitic in 2019.

AI is being applied to whale research, especially to understand what whales are trying to communicate in the audible sounds they make to each other in the ocean. Â
For example, marine biologist Shane Gero has worked to match clicks coming from whales around the Caribbean island nation of Dominica, to behavior he hopes will reveal the meanings of the sounds they make. Gero is a behavioral ecologist affiliated with the Marine Bioacoustics Lab at Aarhus University in Denmark, and the Department of Biology of Dalhousie University of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Â

The story reports that Kansas City coffee shop owner Jackie Nguyen bought a sticker reading, “I’VE HEARD ENOUGH FROM OLD WHITE MEN,” during a shopping trip.
Nguyen added the sticker to an area in front of her cash register where there is a collection of stickers “Death to Racism,” “Support Asian-owned Businesses,” “Black Lives Matter.” She prides herself in being inclusive and a voice for civil rights and social justice.”
Her customers and friends allegedly told her it was not offensive.
