The City University of New York’s student senate voted down a resolution to adopt the IHRA’s Working Definition of Antisemitism on Sunday, in a process described as “devastating to Jewish students” by a campus Jewish community leader. The University Student Senate (USS) of CUNY voted on two separate resolutions: one calling for the adoption of the IHRA definition, and the other offering a separate definition put forward by the Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA), which would exclude anti-Zionist speech or activity from being considered antisemitic.

Holcombe is expected to hold the newly established J Walter Juckett Chair in Cancer Research. He joins UVM and UVMHN from the National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated University of Hawai i Cancer Center, where he has served as director since 2016.
